Art Supplies

Coffee.  It is a really important part of the art making process.  There are several reasons why coffee is necessary:

One, since most of the time I'm painting I'm really not PAINTING but STARING at the painting, when someone walks by the studio and sees me just standing, staring.... well, holding a warm cup in my hand makes me look like I'm pondering some deep meaning of the work I've done instead of them realizing that I'm clueless about what to do next.

Two, if I can't get up to get water to dilute the paint with, I just dunk the brush into my cup; it doesn't really change the flavor.   Although, I have recently read that Van Gogh's insanity may have been accelerated because he ate paint...  oh look!  a rabbit!

Three, coffee makes a great medium flesh color.  It has a beautiful sepia tone when used on watercolour paper.  We can try it out on our first art night!

I'll have the pot on.

everything we need to make art:  a book about Fear and a cup of coffee

Now listing "Art is fear" as a must read.
Dipping your paintbrush into your wine will cause you to see the rabbit too.
and sometimes two.
